ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS
- Most printed items require camera-ready, color separated
artwork to be supplied with the order. Normally if you have
had any print work done, i.e. letterhead, advertisements,
etc. your Printer will have this available on disk, along
with your PMS color requirements, and can probably email it
to you. Branded Your Way is here to help. You can send us
your artwork or have your printer email the artwork in
whatever format you have. If it is not in the correct format
or clean artwork, we can assist you in getting this
accomplished. We have graphic designers waiting to help you.
After reviewing the artwork sent to us, we will contact you
with a quote for this service. 95% of most quotes are
under $50.00, unless your artwork project is complex or
needs to be created from scratch.
SET UP CHARGES - All factories, whether pad printing,
screen printing or embroidering, have INITIAL setup charges,
so your first order will always have this charge billed. The
industry norm is that if a re-order is done within two years
from the first order, then no new setup charges will be
billed. Naturally, if any change is made to your initial
artwork, then a new setup charge is required.
DECORATION METHODS -
Screen Printing is a method using ink printed
directly on items, whether it be a promotional product or a
t-shirt. Each color requires a separate screen or setup,
which is why your quote will show "per color" charges. They
actually apply the ink of the first color, let it dry, then
apply the second, and so on. That is why color-separated
artwork is necessary.
Embroidery is a method where the items are stitched
with colored thread. The initial setup is called Digitizing
the tape. This simply means they take your logo or whatever
you want and put a stitch count to it. With embroidery, you
can usually do up to 6 colors without a per color charge.
Your digitized tape is then kept on file and available for
us to decorate any product that can be embroidered, i.e.
caps, shirts, aprons, tote bags, briefcases, blankets, etc.

And remember, Production Time shown on your quote does not
begin until camera-ready artwork has been received or
completed. If Branded Your Way is assisting you in creating
your design, YOU WILL ALWAYS GET A PROOF TO APPROVE BEFORE
ORDER IS PUT INTO PRODUCTION.
So the time spent on artwork and shipping days are always in
addition to the production time to complete your order.
Allow yourself enough time when preparing for your event
date.
The average order process is 3-4 weeks. RUSH Orders
are available, but most factories will require a rush
